Honda Civic (06 - 11)

The sporty frame, well-built chassis, advanced interior design and futuristic looks of the hatchback in particular make this model one of the most sought after cars on the road. On the inside, there’s acres of space and the seating is very comfortable. They can also fold down flat in order to increase the size of the already large boot. The centre console has a futuristic look about it, which might take some getting used to, and has plenty of standard and safety features. One particular nice touch is the mixture of digital and analogue dials, which look even better at night. On the road, the Civic is a great car to drive; the driving position is excellent, the handling is good, and the ride quality is smooth, which means it does really well on corners. There isn’t a huge selection of engines available, but there are some really capable ones; including the 2.2-litre iCTDi. One of the best diesel engines you can get, it churns out 138bhp, 340nm of torque, has a top speed of 127mph, and can complete the 0-60 sprint in 8.4 seconds. The fuel economy is excellent, returning around 53 miles to the gallon.
