Ford C-Max (10 - present)

This is one of the best looking and most practical cars in its class. Not only is it practical, it is also versatile and is laden with some user-friendly technology. The clever seating system in the rear means the car can be turned from a five-seater into a roomy four-seater. There is also a large boot. The interior is roomy, smartly designed, comfortable, and has some innovative features, including the active park assist which helps you parallel park. On the road it is fun to drive. It handles well; the steering is sharp and the ride quality, although a bit on the firm side at times, it quite forgiving. Engines range from the 1.0-litre Eco Boost to the 2.0 TDCi Titanium.
